This course covers the important safeguarding topics of serious youth violence, knife crime, and the supportive role that schools and education professionals have in preventing young people being criminally exploited.

This 1-hour online training session is intended for teachers, school leaders, education professionals, pastoral staff, safeguarding leads, volunteers, governors in Primary, Secondary, Post-16, AP, SEN and other school settings.

The course covers the following topics:

  • The link between complex developmental trauma, peer orientation and exploitation

  • The stages of criminal exploitation

  • Contextual safeguarding in educational settings

  • Early intervention and preventative measures

  • Further support and resources available
